Jackson County Health Department is proud to be one of only 320 local health departments nationwide to become a nationally accredited health department by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB)
Established in 2007, the PHAB is a non-profit organization that administers the national accreditation program. This program aims to advance and transform public health practice by championing performance improvement, strong infrastructure, and innovation.
WHO We ARE
The Jackson County Health Department is a combined health district serving Jackson County, including the cities of Jackson and Wellston, and the villages of Oak Hill and Coalton. JCHD is operated under the authority of State Law and the adoption of local regulations and resolutions that are voted on by your Board of Health and community input.
